Headquartered in Cairo and employing over 2,000 people, SEKEM is a national market leader for herbal teas and sustainable agricultural practices.Role Description The Senior Merchandiser – Textile Experience is a full-time, on-site role based in Az Zaqāzīq. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing merchandising strategies for SEKEM’s textile products, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market demand. Day-to-day activities include managing product assortments, monitoring stock levels, analyzing sales performance, and collaborating closely with production, sales, and marketing teams to optimize product visibility and profitability. The Senior Merchandiser will visit retail and wholesale outlets, oversee visual merchandising, gather customer and market feedback, and support new product launches. The role also involves building strong internal and external relationships, preparing reports, and contributing to continuous improvement in textile merchandising processes.Qualifications Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present merchandise plans clearly.Proven customer service skills with a focus on understanding client needs and enhancing the buying experience.Experience in sales and retail operations, preferably in textiles or fashion, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.Marketing skills relevant to merchandising, such as product positioning, promotion planning, and understanding of market trends.Demonstrated experience in textile merchandising, product assortment planning, and inventory management.Ability to analyze sales data, interpret key performance indicators, and translate insights into actionable strategies.Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, outlets, and projects simultaneously.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textiles, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Familiarity with sustainable and ethical textile practices is an advantage.Comfort working on-site in Az Zaqāzīq and traveling to different customer and partner locations as needed.
