About the OpportunityProcJet Ltd is seeking experienced Senior Design Professionals to support a UK-based company on major offshore oil & gas, CCSU (Carbon Capture, Storage & Utilisation), and energy transition projects. These are remote freelance/contract roles suited for highly skilled professionals who can deliver quality work independently while collaborating with distributed, multidisciplinary engineering Type: Freelance / ContractKey Responsibilities• Develop and maintain detailed PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)• Prepare and update plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping layouts• Interpret engineering markups and specifications into accurate design drawings• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry codes, and project requirements• Coordinate remotely with process engineers, piping designers, and multidisciplinary teams• Manage drawing revisions, version control, and document control processes• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables• Support design reviews, model reviews, and client submissions• Maintain and apply CAD standards, templates, and librariesRequirements• Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting, or related field• 8+ years of experience in process drafting/design within oil & gas or energy projects• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)• Strong experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and process layout drawings• Solid understanding of drafting standards, symbols, and tagging conventions• Proven ability to work independently in a remote Responsibilities• Develop, review, and maintain detailed 3D piping models using industry-standard software• Create piping layouts, routing studies, and equipment integration within the 3D model• Generate and extract 2D deliverables from the model, including isometrics, GA drawings, and layouts • Ensure clash-free design through model coordination and clash detection tools• Interpret P&IDs and engineering data to accurately model piping systems• Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, and electrical disciplines• Apply project specifications, design standards, and industry codes in all deliverables• Support model reviews, design reviews, and client presentations• Maintain model integrity, naming conventions, and data consistencyRequirements• Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting, or related field• 8+ years of experience in piping design, with strong focus on 3D modeling• Advanced proficiency in 3D design tools (e.g., Aveva E3D, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, Plant 3D)• Strong understanding of piping layouts, routing practices, and constructability• Experience generating isometrics and fabrication drawings• Ability to work independently in a remote freelance Responsibilities• Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models for offshore platforms and related facilities• Model primary and secondary steel structures, including decks, modules, pipe racks, and support frames• Prepare and extract 2D deliverables such as GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and steel details• Interface with structural engineers to incorporate analysis results into the design• Support and coordinate with SACS models for structural analysis and design validation• Ensure compliance with offshore codes, standards, and project specifications• Perform model checks, clash detection, and design reviews• Coordinate with piping, mechanical, and other disciplines within the 3D environment• Maintain model accuracy, naming conventions, and documentation standardsRequirements• Diploma or degree in Structural/Mechanical Engineering Design or related field• 8+ years of experience in structural design, with strong offshore project exposure• Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., Aveva E3D, PDMS, Tekla Structures, or similar)• Working knowledge of SACS for offshore structural analysis• Strong understanding of offshore structural systems, fabrication, and installation practices• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and design inputs• Proven ability to work independently in a remote freelance environmenPreferred•
