Job Type: Full-timeDepartment: Livelihoods & Economic EmpowermentLocation: Cairo, EgyptReports to: Project ManagerStart Date: 3/5/2026About EtijahYouth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.Program BackgroundThe BEDAYAT Project is an economic empowerment and social cohesion initiative implemented by Etijah, in partnership with international stakeholders, to support refugees and host community members in Egypt.The project aims to improve access to sustainable livelihood opportunities through an integrated model combining entrepreneurship development, employability support, and community-based social cohesion interventions.BEDAYAT Is Delivered Through Three Core ComponentsSelf-employment support, including business skills training and coaching Wage employment pathways, including employability and job readiness supportSocial cohesion activities, fostering inclusive engagement between communitiesThe project prioritizes vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities, and promotes inclusive, equitable access to economic opportunities and services.Duties And Responsibilities Project Coordination & Oversight Oversee implementation of project activities across all locations and components Ensure alignment with work plans, timelines, and targets Coordinate the delivery of all project streams (self-employment, wage employment, and the Arabic language course) Track project progress and escalate risks or delays Team Supervision & Support Supervise and guide Project Coordinators, Field Coordinators, and volunteers Ensure consistency and quality of implementation across locations Support team planning, task allocation, and performance follow-up Build team capacity through continuous guidance and support Stakeholder & Partner Coordination Act as the main focal point for coordination with partner CBOs and service providers Ensure community partners meet agreed deliverables, timelines, and quality standards Maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders Activity Planning & Execution Planning and coordination of trainings, workshops, and community events Ensure all activities are delivered efficiently and to required standards Oversee logistical arrangements in coordination with operations teams Designing and reviewing training materials and curricula. Designing and developing training tools. Monitoring, Reporting & Data Oversight Oversee data collection processes in coordination with the M&E team (Kobo, RAIS, etc.) Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of data Maintain and review project trackers and documentation Lead preparation of progress reports ( monthly, quarterly) Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure adherence to protection standards, safeguarding policies, and non-discrimination principles Monitor quality of service delivery and participant experience Conduct regular field visits to assess implementation quality Performance Management & Problem Solving Monitor effectiveness of project activities and outreach efforts Identify challenges and propose practical solutions Ensure continuous improvement in project deliveryJob Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or similar role Experience in NGO or development programs is strongly preferred Proven experience supervising teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders Strong organizational, reporting, and leadership support skills Good communication skills in Arabic and EnglishKey Competencies Strong coordination and team supervision High attention to detail and accountability Ability to manage multiple workstreams Problem-solving and decision-making Effective communication and stakeholder managementDeliverables Project trackers, workplans, and coordination tools Timely and accurate progress and performance reports Effective supervision of project teams and activities Consistent quality implementation across all locationsEtijah is an equal opportunity employer.
