The company develops and manufactures a growing portfolio of products and is committed to innovation, quality, and continuous product development.We are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Specialist to lead the development and improvement of food supplement products while supporting the company's innovation pipeline and regulatory readiness.Role OverviewThe Senior R&D Specialist will be responsible for developing new formulations, improving existing products, conducting technical research, and supporting product registration and regulatory compliance activities.The ideal candidate combines strong scientific expertise with practical experience in food supplements and a solid understanding of market trends, product development processes, and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & InnovationDevelop new food supplement formulations based on market opportunities and business needs.Improve and optimize existing formulations to enhance performance, stability, quality, and cost efficiency.Conduct technical research on ingredients, dosage forms, and emerging market trends.Evaluate new raw materials and suppliers for product development initiatives.Research & Technical EvaluationConduct literature reviews, competitive benchmarking, and formulation research.Assess product feasibility, functionality, and commercial potential.Support pilot batches, validation activities, and product scale-up processes.Regulatory & Compliance SupportEnsure product formulations comply with applicable regulatory requirements.Support preparation of technical documentation required for product registration.Follow updates related to SFDA requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to support successful product registrations.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Marketing teams.Support product launches and technical product positioning.Participate in problem-solving, product investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Food Science, or a related scientific field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Research & Development, preferably within food supplements or nutraceutical products.Strong formulation and product development experience.Good understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation principles, and product stability.Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Professional proficiency in English.Preferred QualificationsExperience in cosmetic product development.Knowledge of SFDA regulations and registration requirements.Experience dealing with NFSA requirements and food supplement compliance frameworks.Experience in healthcare, nutraceutical, food supplement, or cosmetic manufacturing environments.Familiarity with product registration and technical documentation processes.Experience managing multiple development projects simultaneously.Work ConditionsFull-time positionBased in Saudi ArabiaCross-functional role with direct impact on product innovation and business growthOpportunity to contribute to the development of multiple brands and product categoriesWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for a highly committed and scientifically driven professional who is passionate about product innovation and continuous improvement.
