Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Survey Engineer, located in Port Saied. The Survey Engineer will be responsible for conducting accurate land surveys, providing detailed data for project planning, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role involves supervising fieldwork, using advanced surveying and computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards. Additionally, the Survey Engineer will perform site inspections to validate and verify project development.1-undertaking land surveys/measurements using a variety of specialist technical equipment (including theodolites, laser alignment devices, satellite positioning systems etc.2-analyzing data using plans, maps, charts and computer applications such as CAD and GIS.3-Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.4-Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.5-Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.6-Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.7-Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.8-Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.9-Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.10-Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.11-Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.12-Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments13-Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Surveying, or a related field requiredExperience 5-10 in Land Surveying and a thorough understanding of Civil Engineering principlesProficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related softwareStrong Supervisory Skills and the ability to lead a field team effectivelyKnowledge and experience in Inspection procedures and practicesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environmentPrevious experience in large-scale architectural or civil engineering projects is advantageousFamiliarity with local regulatory and zoning requirements is a plus
