Team members join a mission-focused environment committed to building integrated, intelligent, and secure cities of the future.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo for a Senior T&C (Testing and Commissioning) Light Current Engineer. The role involves leading the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low-current systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, data networks, and related ELV systems. The engineer will review design documents and shop drawings, prepare method statements and test procedures, and ensure installations comply with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating with contractors and vendors, performing system integrations, documenting test results, and handing over systems to clients. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting project planning and time schedules, and collaborating closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines to secure timely, high-quality delivery.Qualifications Strong technical expertise in light current and ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, data/structured cabling, and related building systems).Proficiency in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting low-current systems, including working with test instruments, configuration tools, and vendor software.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, and to prepare reports, test forms, and as-built documentation.Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers, and managing on-site activities in line with project plans and safety procedures.Solid understanding of relevant standards and codes (e.g., NFPA, IEC, local regulations) and best practices in installation, quality assurance, and safety.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.Several years of experience in a senior or lead role in ELV/light current testing and commissioning, ideally on large-scale building, transportation, or smart city projects.Effective communication and documentation skills in English, with the ability to clearly report issues, risks, and progress to project stakeholders.
