Senior Telecommunications Engineer

The Senior Telecommunications Engineer will design, implement, and optimize telecommunications systems, including voice, data, and VoIP solutions, to meet project and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include network design, configuration, and integration, as well as monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability and reliability. The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, providing advanced technical support, and leading troubleshooting efforts to minimize service disruptions. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document network and system configurations, and contribute to continuous improvement, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.Qualifications Strong expertise in telecommunications systems and Voice over IP (VoIP), including design, deployment, and optimization.Proficiency in network design and implementation, including routing, switching, and related telecom infrastructure.Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex telecom and network issues.Experience providing technical support and incident resolution in production environments.Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Several years of progressive experience in telecommunications engineering, preferably in a senior or lead role.Familiarity with industry standards, protocols, and tools (e.g., SIP, RTP, QoS, monitoring and ticketing systems).Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Giza.Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, VoIP or telecom-specific certifications) are a plus.
