Accountabilities & Key Roles:Execute the Bank’s strategy for pricing and trading of all currencies in the foreign exchange (FX) and money markets as mandated by the Treasurer.Serve as the lead for intricate trade executions, providing real-time insights and decision-making support during volatile market conditions.Assist the Chief Trader and Head of Trading by offering detailed market analysis and contributing to the refinement of trading strategies.Monitor and manage risk exposures from trading activities, ensuring strict adherence to internal and regulatory risk limits, structures, policies, mandates, regulatory requirements and AB Code of Conduct.Invest selectively in sub one year securities in order to boost income within the approved mandate and limits.Provide mentorship and support to junior traders, fostering a collaborative environment and knowledge sharing to enhance team performance.Liaise with Treasury Back Office & Middle Office teams to ensure that all trades are executed, recorded, and reconciled in accordance with established guidelines.Contribute to the overall improvement of trading processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending best practice approaches.Job requirements:Education:Degree in a mathematical or economic discipline from a recognized universityExperience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with a recognized financial institutionCompetencies: Good numerical and analytical skillsFluency in EnglishVery good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
