Structural Design Engineer (based in Riyadh)

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering consultancy team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, technical office activities, and project coordination across a range of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (full relocation required)Structural DesignPrepare structural calculations, analysis, and design for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures.Develop and review structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.Conduct design checks and ensure compliance with Saudi and international design standards.Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.Support project delivery throughout the design and construction phases.Technical OfficePrepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.Review contractor drawings and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.Coordinate design changes and ensure proper documentation control.Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical evaluations when required.Support project managers with technical reporting, progress tracking, and coordination activities.Participate in site visits and provide technical support during project execution.SkillsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering preferred).Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural design and technical office functions within engineering consultancy or construction environments.Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.Strong knowledge of Saudi and international design codes and standards.Experience in building, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is preferred.Candidates must be willing to relocate and be based full-time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Team-oriented with a proactive and client-focused approach.
