Role Description The Technical Office Engineer – Aluminum is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role involves preparing and reviewing aluminum shop drawings in coordination with design and site teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards. The engineer will develop and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for aluminum works, coordinate with civil and electrical teams on interface details, and support quantity surveying activities such as cost estimates, variation orders, and material take-offs. Responsibilities also include responding to technical queries, supporting project documentation, maintaining records, and collaborating with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely execution and quality of aluminum-related works.Qualifications Ability to produce and review aluminum shop drawings, with strong coordination skills with design and site teams.Proficiency in preparing and validating BOQ for aluminum works, including quantities, materials, and cost-related data.Solid understanding of civil engineering principles relevant to façade and aluminum systems and their integration with structural elements.Basic knowledge of electrical engineering interfaces, particularly related to façade elements, openings, and coordination with MEP works.Experience in quantity surveying for aluminum and façade works, including cost estimation, variations, and material take-offs.Strong technical reporting, documentation, and MS Office skills; familiarity with CAD and relevant engineering software.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
