Candidates joining DABS can expect a professional environment focused on quality, innovation, and integrated project delivery.Immediate hiring is a must, This job is open for unemployed engineersRole Description The architectural Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt.The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating shop drawings with design documents, project specifications, and site conditions. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), supporting quantity take-offs, and validating material quantities against project requirements. The Technical Office Engineer will collaborate with civil, electrical, and other engineering teams, coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors, and help resolve technical issues arising during execution. The role also involves maintaining accurate technical documentation, supporting tender and variation submissions, and ensuring that all work complies with project standards, codes, and client expectations.Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural/Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Strong proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and coordinating shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design and site requirements.Solid experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and quantity surveying tasks for construction projects.Foundational understanding of Electrical Engineering systems relevant to building and infrastructure projects.Proficiency in relevant engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD; Revit or similar tools is an advantage).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Previous experience in consultancy, contracting, or design-build environments in the MENA region is a plus.Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
