Position Overview:EDECS is seeking a Senior Technical Office Engineer – Architectural for leading and supervising the preparation, coordination, and submission of architectural shop drawings and related technical documentation in accordance with project specifications, design drawings, codes, and standards. Ensures high-quality, timely, and accurate delivery of all architectural shop drawings.Responsibilities:Shop Drawing Preparation & Coordination:Prepare, review, and supervise the development of architectural shop drawings based on IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and project requirements.Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure integration of architectural details and resolution of conflicts.Incorporate comments from consultants, engineers, and clients into revised drawings.Documentation & Submissions:Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.Submit shop drawings for consultant/client approval and follow up on feedback.Maintain logs for drawing submissions, revisions, and approvals.Quality Assurance:Review architectural drawings for technical accuracy, completeness, and constructability.Ensure adherence to BIM/CAD standards and quality control procedures.Identify design discrepancies or conflicts and recommend solutions.Team & Project Coordination:Supervise and mentor junior engineers/draftsmen.Coordinate with site teams, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment between drawings and actual implementation.Attend coordination meetings and technical discussions with consultants and subcontractors.Change Management:Support in the preparation of as-built drawings.Evaluate design changes and their impact on time, cost, and quality.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.Minimum 2–5years of experience in a similar role, preferably on large-scale construction projects.Strong experience in preparation and coordination of architectural shop drawings.In-depth knowledge of architectural detailing, finishing materials, and construction methods.Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other relevant CAD software.Familiarity with Navisworks, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other visualization tools is a plus.Understanding of international codes (IBC, NFPA, ADA, etc.) and local building regulations.Strong coordination and technical problem-solving skills.About EDECS:EDECS is a leading organization with 30 years of experience in marine constructions, infrastructure, earthworks, and transportation projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, employing more than 2,000 employees.
