Job Title: Technical Office Manager (Steel Structures)Experience: 15+ YearsLocation: Borg Elarab, AlexandriaJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technical Office Manager to lead our engineering and detailing department. With over 15 years of expertise in the steel structures industry, the ideal candidate will oversee the production of high-quality shop drawings, manage diverse teams of engineers and detailers, and serve as the primary technical liaison between the company, consultants, and clients.Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team Management:* Lead and mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Steel Detailers to ensure accuracy and productivity.* Distribute workloads, set clear deadlines, and monitor the progress of multiple simultaneous projects.* Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for the technical team.2. Technical Oversight & Detailing:* Supervise the preparation of comprehensive Shop Drawings and BBS (Bending Schedules) ensuring they meet international standards (AISC, BS, EN).* Review and approve connection designs and structural calculations.* Ensure full integration and coordination between detailing software and production requirements.3. Project Coordination & Representation:* Attend high-level meetings with Clients and Consultants to resolve technical discrepancies and RFI (Request for Information) processes.* Coordinate effectively with the Production, Commercial, and Site Installation teams to ensure a seamless project lifecycle.4. BIM & Technology Integration:* Oversee the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows to enhance coordination and reduce clashes.* Stay updated with the latest software versions (e.g., Tekla Structures, Revit, AutoCAD) to optimize the department's output. Required Qualifications & Skills* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.* Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the Steel Structures industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.* Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and Revit.
