What You'll DoAs the Utilities Segment Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy for the Water & Power sector across Africa. You will work closely with utility operators, government entities, regulators, and strategic partners to identify opportunities, build long-term relationships, and deliver impactful solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the business growth strategy for the Water & Power utilities segment across AfricaIdentify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with utility companies, ministries, regulators, and public-sector stakeholdersBuild and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers across the utilities ecosystemLead commercial activities, including opportunity management, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closureCollaborate with technical and delivery teams to design solutions that address client challenges and business objectivesAnalyze market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunitiesRepresent Advansys at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client engagements across the regionDrive revenue growth, pipeline development, and segment performance reportingContribute to strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen the company's presence within the utilities sectorRequirements8+ years of experience in business development, account management, sales leadership, or sector management within the Utilities, Water, Power, Energy, or Infrastructure industriesProven success in developing business opportunities and managing strategic client relationshipsStrong understanding of utility operations, digital transformation initiatives, smart infrastructure, or enterprise technology solutions for the utilities sectorExisting network within utility companies, government organizations, regulators, or infrastructure stakeholders across Africa is highly preferredStrong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related fieldMBA or postgraduate qualification is a plusFluency in English is requiredWillingness to travel across Africa as business needs requireBenefits Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Health insurance and wellness programs Professional development and training opportunities
