Warehouse & Purchasing Officer

Purchasing Responsibilities:Receive and review approved Purchase Requisitions (PR) from project and department teams.Source suppliers and obtain quotations for construction materials, equipment, tools, consumables, and services.Prepare commercial comparison sheets and evaluate supplier offers based on price, quality, compliance, and delivery schedule.Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with suppliers.Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with company procurement procedures.Follow up suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, warehouse, and site teams regarding material requirements and technical compliance.Resolve procurement-related issues including delays, shortages, damages, and non-conforming materials.Maintain supplier database and support vendor evaluation activities.Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.Warehouse & Inventory ResponsibilitiesReceive construction materials, equipment, and consumables delivered to warehouse or project site.Verify delivered quantities and specifications against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes.Coordinate material inspection and acceptance with QA/QC and site teams.Ensure proper storage, preservation, identification, and traceability of materials.Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/system and manual logs where applicable.Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum/maximum inventory requirements.Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation.Issue materials against approved Material Issue Requests (MIR).Coordinate material transfer and delivery to construction areas and subcontractors.Track damaged, surplus, obsolete, and slow-moving materials.Maintain warehouse housekeeping and safe storage conditions.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records for:Purchase Requisitions (PR)Requests for Quotation (RFQ)Purchase Orders (PO)Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)Material Receiving Reports (MRR)Delivery NotesInventory ReportsMaterial Issue RecordsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement and warehouse reports.Maintain procurement tracking logs and inventory status reports.HSE & Compliance ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with company HSE policies and warehouse safety procedures.Ensure safe storage and handling of construction materials and equipment.Participate in warehouse inspections and audits.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements.Materials Commonly HandledStructural steelPiping materialsValves and fittingsElectrical materialsInstrumentation itemsMechanical equipmentWelding consumablesPaints and insulation materialsTools and consumablesScaffolding materialsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.Experience in purchasing and warehouse operations within construction, EPC, industrial, or oil & gas projects preferred.Familiarity with construction materials and supply chain processes.Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.Experience in EPC, industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas construction projects.Familiarity with international procurement and logistics coordination.Experience handling project-based material control and inventory systems.
