Human by nature.We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Leader to join our Logistics team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient warehouse operations during your assigned shift while guiding and coordinating a team of Warehouse Operators.You will oversee material flows, stock movements and documentation, ensure accurate receiving and shipping activities, safety, inventory accuracy and operational discipline. Your leadership will be necessary for supporting production needs, preventing disruptions, and keeping our warehouse running with reliability.Sounds exciting? Your monthly payroll will be processed by a 3rd party partner.PurposeLead a shift of Warehouse Operators responsible for operating material handling equipment and performing tasks to include loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, storing, locating, relocating, and stacking products.Core ResponsibilitiesPlanning and executionCollect and consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan weekly and daily material flows and inform needs in terms of material/product stocks to satisfy demand and supply without creating business disruptions.Function managementReview customer orders, shipping orders, as well as requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed, prioritize work orders and dispatch these to the team.Oversee the reception of incoming materials, related administrative tasks (batch number recordings, goods receipt issuance, materials labelling) as well as dispatching and storage.Oversee the preparation of materials/products for shipment to ensure that amount and type of product(s) are matching customer orders.Monitor the loading, unloading, moving, stacking and staging of products and materials in dedicated areas and predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.Lead physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation, disposal of unused/obsolete materials/products, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.Control that warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company (EHS) guidelines and public safety regulations, e.g. when involving fork lifts, clamp trucks or other power equipment, or manipulation of hazardous materials/products.Monitor the maintenance of warehouse installation(s) and equipment by keeping them clean, safe and operational, reporting service requests as needed.Identify capability gaps and conduct trainings to close them.Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervisor.People managementConduct annual human resources processes for the assigned Warehouse team(s) and validate results.Work with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local capability pipeline for the function.Drive the development and promotion of identified talents within and outside Logistics.Your professional profile includesVocational diploma in logistics3+ years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.1+ years of experience in people management.Solid knowledge of warehouse process flow.Good understanding of shipping and receiving regulations and protocol.Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape.Good knowledge of material/product safety/security norms and regulations.Good knowledge of inventory processes and tools.Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.Good knowledge of production process flow and scheduling.Operation of computers - desktop, and hand held for receiving, and real time inventory updates and customer order shipments.Our BenefitsAttractive packageExcellent opportunities for progressive learning and developmentLife and Health InsuranceAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people’s lives.We value the different perspectives that come from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.Everyone — regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, culture, religion, or any personal circumstances — is warmly welcomed at Givaudan, a place where we all love to be and grow.Every essence of you enriches our world.
