Water & Wastewater Design Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain and build a positive client relationship being the primary point of contact with the client during the design phase of projects;Complete diverse project tasks on water and wastewater projects;Independently prepare design calculations and reports;Plan and prepare or review technical specifications;Mentor and develop engineering design staff;Communicate project tasks between offices and design groups, a high level of coordination and communication skills required;Perform QA/QC and participate in constructability reviews of designs;Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work as a part of a major project or small-moderate scope project;Manage multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables;Manage the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;Develop business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing or assisting with associated proposals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree chemical, environmental, mechanical, or related engineering discipline. (required)At least 15 years of experience in water/wastewater water desalination consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in detailed design of water/wastewater projects for industrial and municipal clients.Excellent writing and communication skills.Experience managing engineering design staff.
