Job PurposeThe Transport Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing transportation operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient delivery of goods. The role focuses on coordinating logistics activities, improving transport performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and monitor daily transportation operations.Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining service quality standards.Optimize routing, fleet utilization, and transportation costs.Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, and distributors to ensure smooth logistics flow.Monitor transport KPIs (cost, delivery time, efficiency) and implement improvements.Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company transportation policies.Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport vendors.Handle transportation-related issues, delays, and escalations proactively.Prepare regular reports on transportation performance and costs.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.Experience in FMCG or distribution environment is a plus.Skills & CompetenciesStrong planning and organizational skills.Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and KPIs.Good knowledge of transport regulations and logistics processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).Excellent communication and coordination skills.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)On-time delivery rateTransportation cost efficiencyFleet utilizationDelivery accuracyCustomer service level
