Job Purpose You lead the accounts payable (AP) function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims. You are responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, optimizing AP processes, and managing vendor relationships to support the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, from invoice receipt and validation to payment execution.Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), tax regulations, and audit requirements.Supervise AP staff, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and providing training and development.Review and approve payment runs, ensuring accuracy, authorization, and alignment with cash flow requirements.Maintain vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and preventing duplicate or fraudulent records.Resolve escalated vendor queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.Monitor AP KPIs such as payment turnaround time, early payment discounts captured, and overdue liabilities.Collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline invoice approval workflows and strengthen controls.Lead automation and process improvement initiatives to increase AP efficiency and reduce manual errors.Prepare periodic AP reports for the Head of Financial Control, including aging analysis, accruals, and cash flow impact.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related fieldBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.Experience in banking or relevant industries is preferred.Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and accounting standards.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and AP automation tools.Strong leadership and team management skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify improvement opportunities.Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, for reporting and analysis.Skills & Abilities:Good Command of English & Arabic languagesVery Good Command of MS Office (Specially Excel)
