Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial recordsPreparation of monthly P&L and Cash Flow Group reporting submissionsPreparation of monthly financial management reports to the Regional Director and Country Director(s) to provide insight into the financial performance of the businessSupport the preparation of the company financial statementsLiaising with our local professional advisors in EgyptInvolvement in resolving technical queries both from an accounting and tax perspectiveSupport the bid process and other activities by providing financial information as requiredUndertake process improvement activitiesPro-actively undertake ad-hoc duties as they arise to support the business bookkeepingBooking of all transactions based on the supporting documents and contracts received from the focal point of the client.Prepare monthly bank reconciliation upon receiving the month-end bank statements.Prepare and maintain fixed assets register, and carry on an annual physical count and generate a report for any missing, impaired or damaged items.Issue monthly trial balance and prepare monthly statements by collecting data, analysing and investigating variance, summarizing data, information and trends.Provide client’s external auditors with all data required during auditing process.Book the final adjustment entries which may arise from the audit of the books by the client’s external auditors.Answer all inquiries related to the client’s accounting and book keeping process.Prepare the monthly reporting package including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.Maintain the accounting cycle and the proper filing of all documentsAccounts PayablesReview the vendor’s invoices, contracts and purchase orders.Prepare payment requests and book any necessary adjusting entries.Prepare withholding tax quarterly return and required payment requests & ensure that the client is complying with the tax laws and regulations.Prepare and record vendors’ accrual entries.Review vendors’ statements of account on regular basis.Prepare the monthly payable aging report Accounts Receivables Prepare and post account receivables entries such as clients invoices entries and process the relevant collections.Prepare monthly A/R aging report.Reconcile the customer’s accounts and get confirmation on the outstanding balance on annual basis. Treasury Management Review the monthly cash register.Update monthly cash flow forecasts, and provide analysis report for variancesReview the payment checks.Ensure checks / payments control procedures are properly applied.Who we’re looking for:An independent thinker who will take ownership of the tasks they are assigned and deliver to an agreed timetable. The candidate will need to be organised and able to work on multiple assignments at the same time.A team player who will happily work with other members of the finance team and the wider business as required.The role has a wide variety of tasks but is suited to someone looking for a more technical focused role as opposed to a business partnering role.Experience, Knowledge And Key SkillsThree to five years of relevant experienceExperience of preparing financial statementsExperience working in similar field/ industry is an added valuePast delivery of process improvementKnowledge of VAT and corporation tax as well as other tax requirements is essentialFluency in written and spoken English languageIn addition, the following skills are considered essential:Excellent communication skills both written and verbalThe ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readilyGood organisational skillsGood understanding of collaboration and associated behavioursAbility to quickly adapt to changing environmentsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbout usA world of opportunityGleeds is a place to be part of something bigger.
