Position Overview:EDECS is seeking a Group Tax Manager to will lead the effective planning, management, control and optimization of EDECS taxation position.The Group Tax Manager will coordinate and manage all tax matters relating to entities within the group as well as identifying and implementing tax processes and solutions according to regulatory and governance standards. The ideal candidate is a team player who manages the tax team to greater performance, creates and implements tax plans and works with the accounting and leadership teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and identifying potential areas of risk.Responsibilities:Provide leadership with respect to tax planning, compliance and control across the group operations and jurisdictionsOversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country by country reportingRecognize complex technical tax issues, perform research and analysis to support management decision-makingGenerate all tax documents on a constant schedule and respond to all demands for informationManaging the company’s tax planning and compliance activities to ensure that all tax liabilities are metEnsure substance compliance within each jurisdictionCoordinating with auditors and other tax professionals to develop strategies for dealing with tax issuesAdvises top management of the impact of new tax laws and proposed legislationFind and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax proceduresImprove taxation knowledge within the group through communication and tax training where appropriateSkills and Qualifications:Must have at least 15 years of experience in taxes, preferably within the capacity of a tax consultant5+ years international corporate tax experience across various MEA countriesExtensive individual and corporate tax knowledgeAbility to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiativesFlexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbout EDECS:EDECS is a leading company with 28 years of experience in marine constructions, infrastructure, earthworks, and transportation projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, employs more than 2,000 employees.
