Android Engineer

Job OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and passionate Junior Android Developer to join our mobile team. In this role, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and improving Android applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kotlin and is eager to grow their skills within a collaborative team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Android mobile applicationsEnsure good performance, quality, and responsivenessCollaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new featuresTroubleshoot and fix bugs, crashes, and performance bottlenecksWrite clean, readable, and maintainable codeContribute to reusable components and shared librariesParticipate in brainstorming and feature discussionsWork with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutionsBe proactive in learning new tools, frameworks, and approachesRequirements1–2 years of hands-on experience in Android developmentStrong knowledge of Kotlin (Java is a plus)Ability to write clean, structured, and maintainable codeUnderstanding of Android UI components and application architecture basicsUnderstanding of Git and common Git workflowsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and JSONGood understanding of Android activity & fragment lifecycleExperience using:ViewModel & LiveDataNavigation ComponentRetrofit2 for API callsCoroutines (preferred) or basic RxJava knowledgeBasic understanding of MVVM or MVCFamiliarity with push notifications and Firebase Cloud MessagingWillingness to learn:Dagger/HiltModularization conceptsPaging libraryAdvanced patterns and architecturesExposure to multi-module projectsBasic understanding of clean architecture conceptsKnowledge of Jetpack Compose
