Position: Assistant Director, Marketing and Research - Marketing Communication and Public Affairs DepartmentReports to: Senior Director, Integrated MarketingPurpose:The job holder assists in the implementation of the University’s integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring all messages align with AUC's strategic priorities and brand. The jobholder also manages regular market research and analytics program to drive research-based campaigns and appropriate messaging. He or She assists in maintaining social media platforms to support marketing objectives and ensures AUC’s main messages are reflected on the University's top-tier website landing pages.Responsibilities:Marketing Campaign Management:Manage the execution of integrated marketing and SEM campaigns, ensuring they meet deliverables and timelinesCoordinate agencies, identify execution gaps, and track or report on campaign effectivenessResearch Strategy and Execution:Support the development of the annual research strategy to align communications with market trendsManage and contract market research, including overseeing research agencies and participant recruitmentData Analysis and Integration:Interpret, analyze, and present complex research data to internal stakeholdersIntegrate research findings into marketing communication strategies, messages, and contentCreative and Branding:Devise and present new creative branding or activation ideas aligned with AUC's objectivesDigital Content and Engagement:Generate new, engaging content, e.g. photos, videos, and stories, for activationAssist in managing the social media calendar and ensuring AUC messages are reflected on social media and top-tier website landing pagesMaintain satisfaction levels by responding to messages and monitoring trendsContinuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and research toolsGeneral Support:Performs other essential duties as requiredQualifications and Skills:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, marketing or a related field requiredMaster’s degree is a plusSix to eight years of experience, preferably in marketing, advertising, market research, and integrated marketing communication, graphic design is a plusExperience in higher education or non-profit institutions is a plusTechnical Skills:Communication and Writing: Produce and edit clear, engaging English and Arabic content following editorial and grammar standardsProject Management: Plan, organize, and track multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlinesResearch and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to support communication strategies and content developmentCollaboration: Work effectively with diverse audiences and teams; adapt communication style to different groupsCreativity and Design: Contribute to visual storytelling through basic video production, editing, and graphic designSocial Media Management: Create and manage content across platforms; monitor trends, audience engagement, and performance metricsDigital Awareness: Stay current with evolving digital tools, media trends, and competitor practicesJudgment and Initiative: Identify potential stories or campaigns independently and propose new ideasTechnical Skills: Utilize communication, design, and project management software effectivelyThis position is open till May 24, 2026.Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
