What this job involves: We are seeking an Assistant Planning Manager for one of our projects in Cairo, close to Sheikh Zayed and Six of October Area. This role requires someone working closely with the Planning Manager, sub consultants and main contractors to track and report to the client the progress against the baseline schedule.What your day-to-day will look like: Maintaining the schedule baselines and ensure mechanisms are in place to monitor performance. Working closely with the Planning Manager, sub consultants and main contractorsReview Contractors progress reports. Monitor the progress on site and verify all the submitted reports by the contractors. Participate in meetings related to the schedule and its associated process and procedure. Review overall project status with the Project Management team and recommend corrective action where necessary. Assure integration of sub-schedules from all parties (functions, subdivisions) involved in the projects. Review the contractor’s submitted EOT Claims and give comments/ recommendations. Study and analyze the time impact of changes to the scope/ variations requested by the client or contractor. Tracks and reports to the client the progress against the baseline schedule and continuously monitors risks and opportunities as well as proactively develops scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans required. Report on schedule progress inclusive of contractual spend utilizing reporting metrics including EV (earned value) and PV (planned value) and deviations within all functions and parties involved in the project. Assist in producing schedule related KPI's as required by the project. Manage, with the support of all Project Team members, the effective communication to all functions of their duties and responsibilities in the execution of cost & schedule. Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:Ability to Use a clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and to communicate solutions in an effective, efficient, high-level manner. Ability to Coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders and able to build relationships. Required Skills and Experience: P6 trained with strong skills utilizing this software. Bachelor Degree in Civil, Architectural or Construction Management is required. 3-7 years of relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in EnglishPMC experience will be highly advantageous
