Reports to: Senior Director, Tomorrow’s Leaders ProgramsPurpose: The job holder will be asked to perform a critical role in furthering the Tomorrow' Leaders Undergraduate (TLU) program’s mission and objectives of creating a strong foundation for a cadre of civic-minded, intellectually able, and professionally skilled University students, well-prepared to become future community and business leaders. He/she will work closely with the academic director and the Tomorrows Leaders’ (TL) senior director to further develop the TLU’s strategic plans and implement leadership, employability, and civic education modules and sponsor-approved work plans. Also, work with external partners and different departments at The American University in Cairo (AUC) to ensure effective collaboration, efficient use of established programs and effective integration of the TLU students in the AUC community.Principal Accountabilities:Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the TLU program and project implementation, and manage all daily operationsLead the development and execution of selection plans for new TLU cohorts, in collaboration with the recruitment partner, AUC’s admissions, and student financial affairs office as neededDevelop and update TL’s scholarship student grant agreement’s terms and conditionsDirect the development and implementation of all curricula and training programs and annual work plans in collaboration with the academic directorConduct ongoing research of experiential learning and leadership education programs and refine the TLU’s leadership module and professional development programCoach and guide coordinators in managing student special cases and at-risk students including development of customized intervention plansOversee the development of the TLU’s students manual, policies and procedures manual, and the annual student safety and security guidelinesExplore new collaboration opportunities and work closely with AUC’s different departments, such as the Office of Student Life, Career Office, Gerhart Center, Office of Undergraduate Research, International Programs and Services Office, Office of International Students and Study Abroad ensure efficient use of established programs and effective integration of the TLU students in the AUC communityTrain, supervise and provide support to TLU’s professional staffOversee the development and delivery of special orientation programs including information sessions, freshmen orientation programs, pre-departure and reentry orientations for semester abroad studentsDevelop and follow the execution of peer to peer student mentoring programs and work closely with the academic director to ensure the smooth execution of faculty mentoring programsWork closely with the well-being officer to ensure proper monitoring and follow up on students’ personal developmentOversee the program information management systems including collection and analysis of students and alumni dataOversee the communications and outreach efforts in close collaboration with the senior communications officerWork closely with the monitoring and evaluation manager to monitor projects activities, outputs and progress towards expected indicatorsAssist in the development of new TLU grants’ proposals in collaboration with the TL’s senior director and Office of Sponsored ProgramsOversee the development of the quarterly and final reports, and attend regular check-in calls with the sponsorPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum Education Requirement:Masters’ degree preferably in education, development, or related fieldExperience:Minimum of 10 years of professional managerial experienceExperience in management of externally funded projects preferably with educational or human development projectsExperience in American collegial education systemsSkills:Strong leadership and strategic planning skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced report writing skillsExcellent time-management skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsManagement of complex tasks and operationsKnowledge and understanding of higher education issuesKnowledge of working with sponsored projectsExcellent command of English and Arabic languagesHigh level of computer literacyThis position is open until June 7, 2026Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
