Reports to: Director, Global MarketingRole Purpose:The marketing manager will develop and implement comprehensive marketing and promotional strategies to significantly enhance awareness and drive sales for the AUC Press, its bookstores, and key titles in the Egyptian and European markets, while adhering to a planned budget.Core Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Analysis:Assist senior management in developing the overall marketing strategyProvide independent commercial analysis and critical feedback on new publishing project proposals for viabilityPromotional Execution:Cost-effectively coordinate and supervise all marketing, advertising, and promotional staff and activities in Egypt and Europe, which involves organizing 60-80 annual marketing activities, physical and online, and overseeing the creation or distribution of 50-100 promotional materialsGlobal Coordination and Metadata:Coordinate with the Global Marketing Director to standardize individual title Metadata for effective international distributionBusiness Development:Develop and analyze strategic partnerships to maximize salesGeneral Administrative Support:Perform other related duties as requestedQualifications and Skills:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in related field is requiredA minimum of 12 years of work experience, including five years in international trade and marketing, ideally in academic publishingTechnical Skills:International Market Expertise:Familiarity with foreign markets and international publishing standardsProven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key personnel globally, e.g. authors, customers and vendorsCommunication and Presentation:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsPossesses polished verbal and written presentation skills and editorial fluency in English and ArabicStrategic and Analytical:Ability to conduct independent commercial analysis of new proposals and leverage new technologies, like data mining, to inform strategy and growth This position is open until July 20, 2026Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
