About the Job:The Automation Engineer will support the implementation, integration, and commissioning of automation systems for the greenfield automotive factory project. The role involves working closely with the Automation Lead, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful installation and operation of PLC and robotic systems across manufacturing areas.Responsibilities:Support automation design reviews and technical discussions during the project phase.Assist in the implementation and integration of PLC and robotic systems in Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly areas.Participate in installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities for automation equipment.Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for automation-related issues.Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during installation and commissioning phases.Ensure automation systems meet safety, quality, and production requirements.Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and system records.Support training activities for operators and maintenance teams.Monitor system performance and support continuous improvement activities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.2+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments.Basic to intermediate experience with PLC systems such as Siemens.Familiarity with industrial robots such as Fanuc or Yaskawa is a plus.Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Experience in automotive manufacturing or greenfield projects is a plus.
