Back End Developer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in El Sheikh Zaid, for the Back-End Developer.We are looking for a highly skilled PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PHP, a solid understanding of backend architecture, and the ability to lead by example through code quality, problem-solving, and mentoring junior developers.Requirements4+ years of professional experience in PHP developmentStrong experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel preferred)Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Solid knowledge of MySQL, database design, and performance optimizationExperience building and consuming RESTful APIsExperience with MongoDBExperience with DockerFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScriptExperience with Linux-based environmentsKnowledge of security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection)Understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment workflowsProficient in version control systems (Git)Experience with Elasticsearch is a plusResponsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHPWork extensively with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or SymfonyDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend servicesEnsure high performance, security, and responsiveness of applicationsOptimize database structures and queries using MySQLApply OOP principles, MVC architecture, and design patternsCollaborate closely with frontend developers, QA, product owners, and stakeholdersParticipate in system architecture and technical decision-makingReview code, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practicesMentor and support junior and mid-level developersTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issuesIntegrate third-party APIs and servicesParticipate in deployment processes and CI/CD pipelinesWrite and maintain technical documentation when needed
