With our footprint continuing to expand we are looking for a dedicated and professional Backend Developer.Backend DeveloperLocation: Cairo, EgyptWe are seeking an experienced Backend Developer – ERP & Data Platforms to design, develop, and maintain robust backend solutions supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), enterprise data platforms, and business intelligence environments. This role will focus on building reliable integrations, high-quality data pipelines, and scalable backend services that enable accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.The Backend Developer will play a key role in strengthening internal technical capabilities, reducing reliance on external consultants, and ensuring sustainable system ownership. The role is critical in enhancing data integrity, improving system performance, and supporting the organisation’s long-term digital and operational strategy.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration layers supporting D365 and associated business systemsBuild secure, scalable, and well-documented data pipelines between ERP, operational systems, and BI environmentsDevelop and optimize SQL procedures, views, and data transformation logic to ensure high-performance reporting and analyticsCollaborate with the Technical Lead and ICT teams to ensure alignment with architectural and security standardsWork closely with the BI Lead to ensure backend models support enterprise KPIs, multi-entity consolidation, and operational dashboardsMaintain staging layers, transformation logic, and validation routines across reporting databases.Implement data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and automated validation mechanismsSupport automation initiatives to reduce manual reporting dependencies and enhance CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflowsDrive cost optimization across Azure data services while maintaining performance standards.Continuously review workload performance and recommend architecture improvements and ensure platform scalability from millions to hundreds of millions of recordsSupport Power BI advanced modelsMaintain strong alignment between ERP data structures and analytical models.Requirements Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Proven experience in backend development supporting ERP or enterprise systems ERP or D365-related certifications are advantageousExperience working with BI teams to enable reporting and analytics solutions Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environmentFlexible approach, with the willingness to work outside normal hours if requiredLike to know more?
