Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Cairo, EgyptDepartment: FinanceReports To: Regional Financial Controller________________________________________Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. This role plays a key part in closing processes and financial analysis.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable• Prepare and review journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities• Prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable standards• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations• Assist with internal and external audits and provide required documentation• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances• Improve accounting processes and systems where applicable• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting________________________________________Qualifications & Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• 5–8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting• Experience in general ledger and financial close processes• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365) is preferred• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Good communication and organizational skills• Excellent command of the English language (spoken, written, and reading skills)________________________________________Key Competencies• Attention to detail and accuracy• Time management and ability to meet deadlines• Strong analytical thinking• Integrity and confidentiality• Leadership and team collaboration skills• Ability to work under pressureInterested candidates can apply by sending their CV at (human.resources@capdrill.com)
