Role PurposeYou will be fully responsible for managing all commercial activities from pre-tender to project close-out—including tendering, estimation, cost control, contract administration, variations, claims, budgeting, and overall financial performance—ensuring maximum project profitability and strict contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities1. Pre-Tender & Estimation:Lead comprehensive tendering, estimation, and commercial proposal activities.Thoroughly review tender documents, drawings, and project specifications.Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).Evaluate and mitigate commercial risks while identifying strategic opportunities.2. Post-Tender & Contract Administration:Review, negotiate, and administer prime contracts and subcontracts.Manage variations, contractual claims, extensions of time (EOT), and formal correspondence.Provide continuous commercial and contractual guidance to project execution teams.3. Cost Control & Budgeting:Develop, monitor, and baseline comprehensive project budgets.Rigorously track costs, future forecasts, and overall project profitability.Prepare and present detailed monthly commercial and cost control reports.4. Commercial & Financial Management:Review and certify client payment applications and subcontractor valuations.Closely monitor project cash flow and overall financial performance.Ensure absolute compliance with company commercial procedures and contractual obligations.5. Leadership & Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop the Estimation, Quantity Surveying (QS), and Cost Control teams.Ensure seamless cross-functional coordination with the Technical Office, Procurement, and Project Management departments.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is a strict requirement.Experience: 10+ years of rock-solid experience in construction and commercial management.Contracts: Deep, practical knowledge of FIDIC and modern construction contracts.Skills: Expert in cost control, budgeting, claims management, financial reporting, and high-stakes negotiation.Leadership: Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities.Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment to support project planning and budgeting.
