Key accountabilities and decision ownership:Compliance & Risk Platform Strategy Development:Lead the design and execution of a strategic roadmap for compliance and risk technology platforms, ensuring alignment with the organization's broader business and regulatory objectives.Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for enhancements or replacements to address gaps, inefficiencies, or emerging risks.Regulatory Compliance Integration:Ensure platforms are equipped to support regulatory requirements, such as AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and other industry-specific mandates.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret regulations and translate them into technical and operational requirements.Risk Monitoring and Mitigation:Develop and implement tools within platforms to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk scoring models.Continuously enhance platform capabilities to respond to evolving threats and regulatory expectations.Team Leadership and Development:Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of compliance and risk technology specialists.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that team members stay current with industry trends and technologies.Technology Integration and Innovation:Oversee the integration of compliance and risk platforms with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and data analytics tools, ensuring seamless data flows and operational efficiency.Leverage emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain to enhance the capabilities of compliance and risk platforms.Implementation of Fraud and AML solutions end to end within the Technology such as SAS, GroubIB and MementoVendor and Partner Management:Manage relationships with third-party technology providers, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and ensuring solutions meet organizational needs and compliance standards.Conduct due diligence on vendors to assess their compliance with security and regulatory standards.Performance Measurement and Reporting:Establish KPIs and create dashboards to monitor the performance, effectiveness, and compliance of platforms.Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, offering insights into platform performance, compliance adherence, and risk exposure.Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:12+ years in compliance, risk management, or technology management roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing compliance and risk platforms in a fintech or financial services organization.Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.) and risk management practices.Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI/ML, cloud platforms, and data analytics, with application to compliance and risk functions.
