Job Description – Concurrent Planner (Supply Planner)Department: Planning Service Center – Nestlé Egypt NBSLocation: CairoMain Purpose of the JobThe Concurrent Planner contributes to the Category Demand & Supply Planning team by applying best practices and efficient end‑to‑end supply planning processes. The role ensures product availability across the supply network while optimizing Total Delivered Cost (TDC). This position supports a customer‑ and consumer‑centric mindset, balancing service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Market‑Focused PlanningEnsure the availability of fresh finished and semi‑finished goods at the right stock locations while optimizing service levels and costs.Promote a strong customer‑centric approach in all supply planning activities.Challenge markets’ demand plan accuracy, driving continuous improvement in DPA (Demand Planning Accuracy) & BIAS.Support category‑specific business models, channels, and customer needs.Supply Network Coordination & Crisis ManagementLead allocation, arbitration, and decision‑making for the markets in alignment with business rules.Coordinate contingency sourcing solutions in collaboration with functional stakeholders.Participate in and contribute to crisis management committees.Cross‑Functional CollaborationAct as the primary escalation point for regional, market, and factory partners.Ensure effective communication with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, finance, sales, and marketing teams.Maintain strong relationships with business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Continuous Improvement & Operational ExcellenceIdentify and drive improvements aligned with DSP Excellence principles.Enhance visibility, quality, and efficiency of demand and supply plans.People Leadership & Talent DevelopmentBuild and maintain a skilled, motivated, and multinational team.Foster a culture of collaboration, capability building, and continuous improvement.Develop a robust talent pipeline and strengthen succession planning initiatives.Required ExperienceRequired Skills & Functional CompetenciesProfessional Experience5+ years of experience in demand planning and/or supply planning.5+ years of people management experience with proven capability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.Demonstrated experience in process optimization and driving supply chain efficiency.Proven track record in inventory management, supply network planning, demand accuracy improvement, and end‑to‑end supply chain performance.Academic BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Economics (required).Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or an MBA (preferred).
