You will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, People, Systems, and Compliance teams to ensure full adherence to company policies and procedures. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive operational excellence, optimize processes, develop talent, and ensure seamless customs compliance for our customers.Ensure all classification instructions for all customer shipments are accurately executed. Monitor duty deferment usage and levels. Oversee and review license/visa applications. Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly and efficiently. Conduct a minimum of two face‑to‑face calls per week focusing on retention and sales. Maintain strong, positive relationships with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance initiatives and trainings. Promote and leverage productivity tools (e.g., EDOC, process management, Customsware, Expo customs systems). Manage customer refunds in collaboration with customs authorities. Oversee the management and integrity of the customs system. Send client report requests through the available database (Expo requests, Expo reporting). Provide content for customer reviews, including duty/VAT updates. Implement new system changes and enhancements within the department. Lead staff appraisals and one‑to‑one meetings in line with the 3+1 Initiative. Assist and support the supervisor and key staff in goal setting and development monitoring.
