We pride ourselves on design excellence, collaborative teamwork, and delivering projects that enhance the built environment.Job PurposeLead, manage, and oversee all civil and roads design activities within the consultancy firm, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions that meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project deadlines. Provide strategic expertise, technical leadership, and team development for civil and roads engineering disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Civil Roads design team throughout all project stages.Plan, assign, and monitor engineering and drafting resources.Review and approve road design calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documents.Ensure compliance with client requirements, standards, local authority regulations, and company procedures.Coordinate with other disciplines.Attend client meetings and provide technical solutions.Identify design risks and implement mitigation measures.Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress.Mentor and evaluate engineers and technical staff.Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-Making AuthorityManage day-to-day technical decisions related to road design.Review and approve engineering deliverables before submission.Allocate design resources within approved project plans.Coordinate directly with clients, authorities, and internal departments.Escalate contractual, commercial, or major technical issues to the Deputy Director Infrastructure.Ensure compliance with company QMS, HSE requirements, and applicable standards.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsBachelor's (Master's preferred) in Civil Engineering.15+ years of relevant experience in roads, highways, site development & infrastructure.Proven leadership in consultancy or engineering firms.Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MOT, local authority requirements.Expertise in design tools (Civil 3D, InfraWorks, MicroStation, AutoCAD).Excellent client management and project leadership skills.Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.CompetenciesLeadership & Team ManagementStrategic PlanningRisk AssessmentTechnical Excellence in Civil/Roads EngineeringTime & Resource ManagementInnovation & Continuous ImprovementStakeholder ManagementCoaching & MentoringQuality AssuranceRisk Assessment
