Environmental Health Safety Specialist

EHS SpecialistJob PurposeLeads and coordinates the development and implementation of a proactive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) program, including job hazard assessments, occupational injury and accident investigations, and building safety audits. Ensures compliance with corporate and regional EHS policies, standards, and local regulations.Job Accountabilities Industrial Safety ManagementIdentifies potential industrial safety hazards.Performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hazard assessments.Develops containment and preventive action plans to control risk situations and eliminate deviations.Accident & Incident InvestigationConducts root cause analysis of occupational accidents, incidents, and injuries.Develops corrective and preventive action plans and monitors progress, effectiveness, and efficiency to reduce accident and injury rates.Develops and updates emergency, disaster, and safety procedures.Environmental & Hygiene Risk ManagementIdentifies and assesses potential environmental and industrial hygiene risks.Develops containment and preventive action plans to minimize occurrences and deviations.Monitors compliance through noise studies, ergonomic evaluations, and inspections of facilities and plant assets.Facility & Asset Safety AuditsConducts safety audits of buildings and plant assets.Tracks closure of audit findings and evaluates the effectiveness of safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.External Audits & InspectionsPrepares and coordinates external audits and visits.Documents and communicates results, develops corrective actions and containment plans, and monitors their effectiveness to prevent recurrence of deviations.Training & AwarenessConducts training sessions and coaches employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors to enhance environmental, hygiene, and safety awareness.Supports the development of visual aids, flyers, health and safety tips, and documentation.Reporting & Continuous ImprovementPrepares, communicates, and reviews EHS KPIs.Defines and implements continuous improvement plans for processes, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives.Compliance & Corporate ValuesEnsures compliance with Quality and EHS system requirements.Adheres to corporate values, code of conduct, and non-disclosure agreements.Qualifications:Relevant Degree, Master degree preferable2-3 years in Manufacturing FieldSAP expert
