Events Operations Section Head

About the Company: Legacy, a Hassan Allam Holding company, is responsible for operating the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).About the RoleLegacy is seeking an experienced and operationally driven Events Operations Section Head to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the museum's diverse events portfolio. This includes cultural programs, public activations, corporate events, private functions, and large-scale institutional occasions.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the full lifecycle of events, from concept and planning through to on-ground delivery and post-event evaluation.Develop and maintain annual events calendars in alignment with GEM's strategic, cultural, and commercial objectives.Coordinate closely with internal departments including Partnerships, Marketing, Operations, and Facilities to ensure seamless event delivery.Manage event budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-standard outcomes.Establish and enforce standard operating procedures, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols for all events.Oversee the preparation of event briefs, run-of-show documents, post-event reports, and performance assessments.Serve as the primary point of escalation for on-ground event issues, ensuring swift and professional resolution.Identify opportunities to grow and diversify GEM's events offering in line with institutional priorities.Qualifications & Experience5–7 years of experience in events management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder events end-to-end.Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across internal and external parties.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and events management tools.Experience within cultural institutions, hospitality, entertainment, or large-scale venue management is strongly preferred.Fluency in Arabic and English is required.What We're Looking ForA hands-on leader who is equally comfortable in the planning room and on the ground.Composed under pressure with strong problem-solving instincts.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivery excellence.
