Design Engineer Section Head – Roads & Bridges📍 Location: New Cairo, EgyptHassan Allam Construction is seeking a highly experienced Design Engineer Section Head – Roads & Bridges to join our Design Engineering Department. The successful candidate will lead the design function for major projects in several sectors, ensuring the delivery of innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound engineering solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities:• Lead and manage the Roads & Bridges Design Section, ensuring the successful execution of all design activities across assigned projects.• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of detailed engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment of design deliverables with project requirements and objectives.• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and company procedures throughout all project phases.• Monitor design schedules, resource allocation, and team performance to achieve project milestones and deadlines.• Provide technical leadership and guidance to design engineers, fostering continuous development and knowledge sharing.• Participate in value engineering initiatives and propose optimized design solutions to enhance project efficiency and constructability.• Review tender documents, technical proposals, and design submissions to support business and project requirements.• Manage design risks and resolve complex technical challenges in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.• Drive quality assurance and quality control processes within the design function.Qualifications & Requirements:• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, A Master's Degree is considered an advantage.• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Roads & Bridges Design within the engineering, consulting, or construction industry.• Proven experience managing infrastructure and transportation projects of significant scale and complexity.• Previous experience in a leadership role, supervising and developing engineering teams.• Strong knowledge of international design standards and industry best practices.• Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software.• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
