Job Title: Facility Maintenance EngineerLocation: Designia Mall, AlexandriaCompany: Nile Projects & Trading Co.Role OverviewNile Projects is seeking a skilled and proactive Facility Maintenance Engineer to oversee the technical operations and infrastructure of Designia Mall. This role is critical in ensuring that all mall systems—from HVAC and electrical to mechanical and civil safety—operate at peak efficiency. You will be the technical lead responsible for maintaining a world-class environment for our tenants and visitors through meticulous planning and hands-on coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Operational OversightSystem Performance: Analyze and troubleshoot equipment performance (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) using performance data to ensure reliability.Reliability & Improvement: Support reliability processes to drive improvements, optimize operational costs, and maximize asset effectiveness.Repairs & Installations: Manage complex equipment repairs, technical upgrades, and installations using either in-house teams or specialized contracted resources.Emerging Technologies: Evaluate new technologies and alternative repair methods to secure cost and delivery advantages for the mall.Facility & Tenant CoordinationTechnical Reviews: Overview unit and tenant fit-out drawings, procedures, and contractor work to ensure alignment with mall standards.Vendor Management: Oversee specialized agencies, including landscaping services and housekeeping machinery maintenance.Civil Protection: Take full responsibility for civil protection procedures, ensuring all safety systems are compliant and managing the issuance of yearly licenses.Leadership & AdministrationCrew Supervision: Manage maintenance team tasks, daily work logs, weekly schedules, and overtime to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.Budgetary Input: Provide technical data and recommendations for the annual Maintenance Budget.Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate closely with all mall departments, tenants, and external contractors to resolve technical issues promptly.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience: 3–5 years of experience in engineering or facility maintenance, preferably within a Mall, Luxury Retail, or 5-Star Hospitality environment.Standards: Strong knowledge of international mechanical/electrical engineering standards and Egyptian Civil Protection regulations.Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical crews in a fast-paced environment.Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities combined with strong communication skills for tenant and contractor management.How to ApplyBecome part of the expansion at Nile Projects.
