Role Description The farm worker role at WhiteHours is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The farm worker will perform daily tasks such as assisting with planting, watering, and harvesting crops, as well as caring for livestock, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal health under supervision. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining basic farm equipment, cleaning and organizing work areas, and following safety and hygiene standards. The role also involves supporting seasonal activities, loading and unloading supplies, and reporting any issues with animals, crops, or equipment to supervisors. The position requires reliability, willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.QualificationsKnowledge or experience with agriculture, farms, and basic farm routines.Ability to handle livestock and assist with animal care in a safe, humane manner.Familiarity with farm equipment and tools, including safe operation and basic maintenance.Experience or ability to learn harvesting techniques and crop handling.Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working outdoors for extended periods.Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and following standard operating procedures.Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability; willingness to work flexible hours during peak farming seasons.Previous farm or agricultural experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
