Job Summary: The General Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the restaurant, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with accounting standards. The role supports management with financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales, expenses, and journal entriesMonitor and reconcile cash, bank accounts, and POS transactionsHandle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collectionsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsControl and monitor food & beverage costs, inventory, and wastageConduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory variancesEnsure proper recording of revenue from all outlets (dine-in, delivery, online platforms)Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningEnsure compliance with tax regulations and local financial lawsCoordinate with auditors during internal and external auditsMonitor payroll entries in coordination with HRIdentify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurants or hospitalityStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reportingExperience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or similar)Good understanding of inventory and cost control in F&B operationsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with POS systems and restaurant operationsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skills
