Handover Engineer

As a Handover Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the project handover process, ensuring that all works are completed, inspected, documented, and delivered in full compliance with project requirements and quality standards. You will act as the key link between construction teams, consultants, and clients to ensure a smooth and timely project close-out.Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:Handover Process Management:Manage and coordinate all handover activities, ensuring readiness of completed units/areas in line with project timelines.Prepare and follow up on handover schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned for smooth project close-out.Snagging & De-snagging:Conduct internal inspections and snagging processes prior to consultant/client inspections.Follow up on the closure of all snags and ensure proper rectification in accordance with quality standards.Documentation & Compliance:Ensure all required handover documentation is prepared and submitted, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and certificates.Verify that all project deliverables comply with contract requirements, specifications, and local regulations.Coordination & Communication:Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure all works are completed and handed over as per requirements.Attend handover meetings with clients and consultants, addressing comments and ensuring timely resolution of issues.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all completed works meet the required quality standards prior to handover.Monitor final finishes and ensure compliance with approved materials and workmanship standards.Reporting & Close-Out:Prepare regular reports on handover status, snagging progress, and project close-out activities.Support the Project/Site Manager in achieving timely project completion and successful handover.To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering. • 3 - 7 years of experience in construction projects, with a focus on finishing and handover processes. • Strong knowledge of handover procedures, snagging processes, and project close-out documentation. • Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
