IBM Power Server Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, administration, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure based on IBM Power Systems.This role requires deep technical expertise in Power architecture, virtualization, and mission-critical environments to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability.RequirementsDesign and implement infrastructure solutions based on IBM Power SystemsInstall, configure, and manage IBM Power servers and related componentsManage virtualization using PowerVM (LPARs, VIOS)Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and patch managementMonitor system performance and ensure high availabilityManage storage integration (SAN, NPIV, vSCSI)Troubleshoot hardware and OS-level issues efficientlyCollaborate with application and database teams for performance tuningImplement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutionsMaintain system documentation and operational proceduresTechnical Skills & RequirementsStrong hands-on experience with IBM Power SystemsExperience with IBM PowerVM (LPAR, VIOS configuration and management)Solid experience with operating systems:AIXLinux on Power (RHEL/SLES)Knowledge of Hardware Management Console configuration and administrationExperience with storage technologies (SAN, Fibre Channel, NPIV)Strong understanding of system performance tuning and capacity planningFamiliarity with backup and recovery toolsExperience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python)Knowledge of high availability solutions (PowerHA is a plus)Preferred QualificationsIBM certifications in Power Systems or AIXExperience working in system integration or enterprise environmentsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsGood communication and documentation skillsBenefitsPrivate Health InsuranceTraining & Development
