Progress starts with you.Job DescriptionThis role is for an Analyst position within API Integration Engineer under Client Services – Specialized Services Implementation team. The successful candidate will serve as a key subject matter expert responsible for providing direct API integration support to clients onboarding to, and operating through, the Visa Developer Platform, Visa Acceptance Platform including Cybersource Platform.The role will involve working with a diverse set of Visa clients and partners, including issuers, merchants, fintechs, token requestors, third-party providers, and mobile ecosystem partners, to support the delivery of API-based products and services across the CEMEA marketplace.The candidate is expected to bring strong technical expertise in REST APIs, SDK integration, backend integration, solution architecture, authentication, testing, troubleshooting, and production support. They will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to accelerate client implementations, reduce integration friction, and ensure successful product adoption.Working collaboratively with teams across Product, Technology, Client Services, Implementation, and related functions, the candidate will lead technical discussions, support troubleshooting events, review client solution designs, and help resolve integration issues across onboarding, pilot, go-live, and post-production phases.The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of scalable implementation processes, technical guidance, client communication tools, and best practices that enable regional teams to achieve product, platform, and client success goals.This position is well suited for a candidate with a background in API backend engineering, technical implementation, integration support, or payment technology platforms who is looking to further develop their expertise in a global payments technology environment.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Client Services, Implementation, and Support to analyze requirements for new API-based products, services, enhancements, and client initiatives.Develop and execute technical implementation approaches for new and enhanced products, ensuring successful onboarding, testing, pilot execution, production readiness, and post-launch support.Provide technical integration support for clients implementing APIs on the Visa Developer Platform, Visa Acceptance Platform including products related to Visa Token Service, Cybersource platform, Click to Pay etc.Serve as the subject matter expert for client solution architecture, including API flows, SDK integration, authentication methods, data exchange, product configurations, integration dependencies, testing approach, and operational readiness.Conduct technical briefing and solution review sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to explain API product capabilities, implementation requirements, integration patterns, configuration needs, and testing expectations.Act as a consultative technical partner during pre-project, onboarding, and implementation phases by understanding client business objectives, technical landscape, solution scope, and integration options.Lead or support client and internal troubleshooting activities, including issue triage, impact assessment, root-cause analysis, resolution coordination, and follow-up communication through go-live and post-production phases.Support business objectives by delivering timely, cost-effective, and high-quality client implementations while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and adoption.Recommend improvements to product capabilities, API documentation, integration guides, implementation processes, troubleshooting procedures, and client-facing technical materials.This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:4 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree (e.g., Masters) in Computer Science or similar field. Key CompetenciesStrong experience with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, response codes, authentication, certificates, and API testing tools.Hands-on experience with API integration, backend engineering, technical support, or implementation engineering.Familiarity with platforms such as Visa Developer Platform, Visa Acceptance Platform, Cybersource, or similar payment gateways/platforms is preferred.Understanding of payment processing, tokenization, digital payments, card-not-present transactions, or merchant/issuer ecosystems is desirable.Experience using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Grafana, Jira, Confluence, or API monitoring platforms.Ability to analyze client technical architecture and provide practical integration recommendations.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across API, network, authentication, configuration, and application-layer issues.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple client engagements, priorities, and implementation timelines.Strong collaboration skills and experience working in a cross-functional, regional, or global environment.Visa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
