Informatica IDMC Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Informatica IDMC Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) solutions to support enterprise data discovery, classification, governance, and protection initiatives. You will work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and governance teams to ensure secure, compliant, and well-governed data across enterprise environments.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), metadata management, AI-driven data classification, data lineage, and data protection technologies. Strong technical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation capabilities are essential for success in this role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Configure Informatica IDMC connectors for relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and MongoDB. Integrate IDMC with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and SAP. Configure and optimize the CLAIRE AI/ML classification engine using regular expressions, dictionaries, reference data, and machine learning classifiers. Implement confidence scoring and human-review workflows for low-confidence classification results. Build, maintain, and manage enterprise metadata catalogs, including classification status, governance policies, and data lineage. Configure end-to-end data lineage across enterprise systems and transformation pipelines. Develop and maintain risk scoring models for data assets based on sensitivity, exposure, and access patterns. Implement Dynamic Data Masking, Static Data Masking, and Tokenization solutions to protect sensitive information. Define and enforce Policy-as-Code governance rules and role-based access control (RBAC) policies. Configure metadata and label propagation from source systems to downstream datasets. Conduct database connectivity workshops and coordinate implementation activities with DBA teams. Produce technical documentation including platform configurations, classification rule design, testing results, and validation reports. Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure governance standards and best practices are consistently implemented. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). Experience working with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) and the CLAIRE AI engine. Strong understanding of automated data discovery and AI/ML-based sensitive data classification. Experience working with relational databases and at least one major cloud data platform. Hands-on experience implementing Dynamic Data Masking, Static Data Masking, and/or Tokenization. Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and Policy-as-Code governance frameworks. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Informatica certifications are considered an advantage. PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with enterprise data governance initiatives. Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards. Understanding of cloud-native data architectures. Experience working in Agile environments. Familiarity with AI-enabled governance and automated metadata management.
