Role OverviewThe Landscape Design Director will lead the landscape design function, driving strategic direction, technical excellence, and efficient project delivery across a portfolio of large-scale developments. This role requires a seasoned leader with strong design, commercial, and team management capabilities within an A&E consultancy environment.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic LeadershipDefine and implement departmental strategy aligned with overall business objectivesEstablish KPIs and performance benchmarksDrive continuous improvement in design efficiency and output quality2. Project DeliveryEnsure timely and high-quality delivery of all landscape design packagesMonitor project progress and proactively address delays or risksCoordinate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams3. Technical LeadershipServe as the technical authority for all landscape design outputsReview and approve design concepts, drawings, BOQs, and specificationsEnsure compliance with international standards and Saudi regulations4. Resource ManagementPlan and allocate resources effectively across projectsMaintain optimal team utilization ratesSupport recruitment planning and workforce optimization5. Talent ManagementLead hiring, performance management, and team development initiativesMentor and coach team members to enhance capabilitiesDevelop succession plans and address performance gaps6. Quality & Process ComplianceEnsure adherence to internal quality standards and proceduresImplement robust design review and documentation processesPromote a culture of quality and continuous improvementRequirementsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape EngineeringMaster’s Degree is preferredExperience15–20+ years of experience in landscape design within an A&E consultancyProven experience in delivering large-scale projectsGCC experience is highly preferred
