Legal Counsel

With a collective strength of 8 brands, we have more than 160 million monthly users that trust in our dedication to providing them with the best platform for their needs.As a Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our Associate Director Legal to handle all complex legal matters and projects, as part of the Legal team in Egypt. You will ensure the legality of commercial transactions and advise our company on legal rights and duties. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and following up on various contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesConsult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. corporate governance, intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, employment, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)Develop company policy(ies) and position on legal issuesResearch, anticipate and guard the company against legal risksGuide managers and ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulationsStructure, draft and review reports and other legal documents, as requiredRepresent the company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials, etc.)Draft and administer all contracts and agreementsNegotiate deals and contract terms where required and attend company meetingsAssist in the follow-up and processing of a variety of contract document requirementsEvaluate contract compliance and advise on contractual rights and obligationsCollaborate with the various internal departments on contract requirementsConduct training on the contract process for the departmentsLiaise with government authorities in relation to the establishment and maintenance of contractsOrganise and maintain contracts in a paper or electronic filing systemProvide general administrative support for the Legal teamRequirementsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent certification and training at an international law firm or multi-national companyBar Association MembershipExperienceAt least 5 to 8 years of similar experienceExperience working as a TMT lawyer (data privacy, telecoms, strategic sourcing and IT advisory matters )KnowledgeProficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
