Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor - Minya Site

Job PurposeThe Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse operations and logistics activities to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials, equipment, spare parts, and supplies. The role ensures timely delivery, inventory accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and optimal utilization of warehouse resources to support operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsSupervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials.Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials according to company standards.Monitor warehouse space utilization and optimize storage capacity.Conduct regular warehouse inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.Ensure accurate documentation of all warehouse transactions.Inventory ManagementMonitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability.Coordinate periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Ensure accurate inventory records within ERP and warehouse management systems.Prepare inventory reports and stock movement analyses.Logistics & TransportationCoordinate transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt and distribution of materials.Monitor shipment tracking and logistics service providers.Coordinate with procurement, operations, and site teams regarding material requirements.Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.Team SupervisionSupervise warehouse assistants, storekeepers, and logistics personnel.Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance.Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to warehouse staff.Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with HSE standards and warehouse safety procedures.Monitor proper handling of hazardous materials, chemicals, and sensitive equipment when applicable.Report incidents, damages, and safety concerns promptly.Support internal and external audits related to warehouse operations.ReportingPrepare weekly and monthly logistics and warehouse performance reports.Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs).Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost optimization.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.Experience5–7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.Experience in agriculture, construction, industrial, or FMCG sectors is preferred.Technical SkillsInventory Management.Warehouse Operations Management.Logistics Coordination.ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Dynamics, or similar).MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Data Analysis and Reporting.
