Essential duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery, specifically regarding customer satisfaction. Everyone in the logistics department is responsible for responding immediately to customer questions, inquiries, and for notifying customers about any delays in the delivery schedule. Staying on top of all accounts and coordinating/collaborating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this position. Special requirements: Process end customer invoices accurately and on timeTimely follow up with sourcing points and Freight ForwardersFamiliar with ME regional Customs regulations and requirementsFamiliar with different modes of Transportation “Road, Sea and Air”Prepare accurate shipping documentsLiaising with clearing agents on cargo clearance with customsFamiliar with processing Letter of Credit and bank submissionsSatisfy airway bills in a timely mannerCommunicate with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipmentsReview purchase orders and shipment contents prior to dispatchMust have analytical skillsDevelop and improve logistics operational processes and drive efficiencies in key metrics (backorder, shipment lead time, invoice accuracy, claim resolution)Ability to handle product recallsFamiliar with project management fundamentalsTrack and analyze missed shipments to ensure root causes are identified and resolvedRespond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the appropriate channelsEnsure quality of all services and processes within the facilityAdhere with the Corporate Trade, Finance Compliance alwaysContinuously reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possibleLiaise with officials in various agencies to ensure goods are cleared through customs or quarantine. You will also arrange for transportation, warehousing, or product distribution of imported or exported goods and liaise with Freight Forwarders.
