The OpportunityThe Master Production Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall production plan for Transformer's Business ensuring optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery of transformers while meeting quality and cost objectives.How You Will Make An ImpactDevelop and implement the master production schedule (MPS) for various transformer product lines, aligning with sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.Analyze demand patterns, production capacity, and material availability to create realistic and achievable production plans.Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing departments to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the planning process.Monitor production progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential delays or disruptions.Optimize inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize holding costs and prevent stockouts.Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production orders, material requirements, and capacity planning.Conduct "what-if" scenario planning to assess the impact of demand fluctuations or supply chain constraints.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness.Prepare and present production planning reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.Your BackgroundBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in master production planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment (heavy equipment or electrical components experience is a plus).Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle,) for production planning and control.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is highly desirable.Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
